Didn't have any that bad on my trip.  I did say at a Motel 6 in Montana - I was looking for a place near Yellowstone and saw it at a price of $71.  I should've taken the $110 a night Comfort Inn instead.  With the Motel 6 the room stank of cigarette smoke, hard to sleep with it infusing the blankets.  I grew up around smokers but this was really too strong.  Plus some of the people staying looked like the home paper/police department's most wanted list.  The next night I stayed at a Ramada Hotel and it felt like a damn luxury hotel.
