WACO, Texas (WPEC) — A woman on her way to jail for drug possession told an officer she had a fully-loaded handgun hidden inside her vagina.

Waco Police say officers stopped a 1998 Toyota for a traffic violation on Monday evening. During a search of the vehicle, police found a large amount of methamphetamine.

Police say the driver, 30-year-old Gabriel Garcia, had 2.7 grams of meth concealed under his seat.

A further search revealed his passenger, 31-year-old Ashley Cecilia Castaneda, had 29.5 grams of meth and a set of digital weighing scales in her purse.

While the woman was being transported to jail, officials say she admitted to having a concealed handgun inside her vagina.

A female officer then searched Castaneda, discovering a loaded, semi-automatic, .22-caliber Smith & Wesson pistol inside her body cavity.

Police say the weapon had a round chambered and a full magazine of bullets.

Garcia and Castaneda were both charged with Possession of Methamphetamine in a Drug Free Zone. The traffic stop was within 1,000 feet of an elementary school.
