Lebowski's Bar and Grill now open

The Dude abides in the small Iowa community of Robins;

ROBINS, Iowa (KCRG-TV9) -- The Linn County community of Robins now has something most cities that size, or even smaller, have had for many years, a restaurant.

Robins has more than 3,100 residents. But until Monday morning, those people didn't have one restaurant in the entire community.

Lebowski's Bar and Grill opened for lunch at 925 Robin Square Drive in Robins Monday.

The city borders Cedar Rapids and residents are used to traveling there for commercial services, but a place to eat was on the wish list for years. In fact, a survey done several years ago put that request right at the top.
