This movie is ... it's something.

If nothing else, it's worth checking out for Ringo Starr's Merlin wig.  Yes, the movie has Ringo Starr playing Merlin.  It also has one of the worst Dracula's ever seen in movies.

And the plot?  Well, I'm not going to say that it doesn't have a plot.  it does.  Just nobody seems interested in trying to advance it.  The movie just feel like it's doing a leisurely stroll stopping to take the occasional break.

It seems like there were a lot of drugs involved in making this movie.

Yeah-I seen it-UGH!. I thought you were talking about the old Lon Chaney Jr film-but no-ugh-Ringo should stick to drums.
Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

That's one of the big problems I had trying to find it.  Everybody thinks of the old Lon Chaney movie and nobody seems to want to admit this one even existed.

I, too, when I saw the headline thought we were talking about the 1943 film with Lon, Chaney, jr. Which is probably most notable for the scene of Lon, as Dracula, poling his coffin across the waters of the Louisiana bayous.

As for Ringo Starr, my favorite acting roles for him are in the Beatles' films "Magical Mystery Tour" and "Yellow Submarine."
