Yes of course.  I know how that is, sometimes one goes and the other goes right away too.  

I was reading about my great-great-grandparents in some old microfilm and in my great-great-grandpa's obituary it said that he had told his wife not to worry about leaving him behind right before she passed, that he knew that he would be along soon.  He hadn't been in the best of health and he wound up joining her about six months later.

Sad news indeed. I wish them the best in this awful time. Sometimes the only good thing to come out of tragedy is it can show how deeply some people do care for others, and step forward to prove it.
