A*P*E is a rip off of the 70s KING KONG. Insane fun that doesn't know when to stop giving. And the titular ape flips off the attacking army -- and basically anyone who spent money to watch it.

Recent released on BD in a restored 3D version, which is how it was originally released. So worth buying.
I feel more like I do now than I did a while ago.

One I recently enjoyed was Alien Contamination which was obviously a ripoff of Alien.  Complete with lots of green pulsating eggs and exploding chest cavities.   There seemed to be a lot of ripoff movies made in Italy over the years.  Some that I've seen are pretty enjoyable, but I admit I have a soft spot for Italian horror cheese and spaghetti westerns. :teddyr:
Contamination rocks! cheese overload

not as fun, but similar there's also INSEMINOID, FORBIDDEN WORLD, and ALIEN 2

Some more fun rip-offs-

.GALAXY OF TERROR (1981) rips off JOURNEY TO THE 7TH PLANET (1962). Both are great-one with a raping giant maggot and Sid Haig, the other with that fantastic cheezy theme song and John Agar.

.ALIENATOR (1990) rips of the ASTOUNDING SHE MONSTER (1957) even to the point having both star Robert Clarke!

http://youtu.be/SeuigfKWKJA

Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)
Interviewer-"Does Dracula ever end for you?
Lugosi-"No. Dracula-never ends."

I think you are giving ALIENATOR way too much credit, RC. Unlike the other movie, ALIENATOR is damn near intolerable. Ross Hagen did not age well and neither did his acting. John Philip Law acts like a zombie. P.J. Soles is wasted. So is Jan Michael Vincent, but his wasting was more chemical based, I think. Then you had the camper full of whiny a***oles who all needed to die before their first lines of dialogue.

And the Alienator character -- sorry for being un-PC, but she looks like a sex change that went horribly wrong. Instead of backing away from the camera like Ms. Kilpatrick did in ASM, this alien should have kept her BACK to the camera.

Fred Olen Ray owes me a steak dinner for sitting through that piece of crap.

The Demon is a ripoff of John Carpenter's Halloween.

Alien 2 is crappy in a funny way, in places, but overall drags a bit (imo). worth checking once though

How about the MIGHTY GORGA (1969)? It's as bad as KING KONG (1933) is good!

I watched this one for ....*ahem*...research purposes

Just love the bad composting done on the cover as well.  She's clearly posed like she's peering out from behind the building, but her hands are on two different planes and and not matching the shot.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...

All that mattered is they got her cleavage in view.

I liked battle beyond the stars which was a double rip off.  Star wars and magnificent 7.
The doctor that circumcised Trump threw away the wrong piece.

Extreme Prejudice an obvious rip off of The Wild Bunch
