I don't know how serious the artist was/is, but why not?

Despite the controversy, Lucas Films is still going with Rian Johnson to write a new 3-part Star Wars trilogy and to direct the 1st part. Though, he has backed off directing the last 2 parts.

They have brought in the show runners from Game of Thrones (GOT) to do another Star Wars trilogy, one apart from Johnson's trilogy.

And word has it, that they even brought back George Lucas to direct part of Solo : a Star Wars Story.

Of course, this will have to be after Burton directs Bettle juice 2 and the live action version of Dumbo.
