I think the only film of her's I've watched all the way through was Mama Mia (one of Kristi's favourites alas).

I think she has made a lot of movies like this in recent years. But I liked her earlier movies like THE DEER HUNTER, KRAMER VS. KRAMER and HOLOCAUST.

It is almost majestic in its awfulness!

Speaking from a South African point of view, it always amazes me that serious anti-apartheid films such as Cry Freedom, A World Apart, A Dry White Season, The Wilby Conspiracy and others were box office flops, but Lethal Weapon 2 - an action comedy - was a box office hit. 

Both Cry Freedom (once it was un-banned) and LW2 were hits here so now I am confused: I mean, more confused than normal.
