This is an example of how fanatically and insanely intolerant our society has become of smoking. It's ridiculous. Hell, maybe I should walk into a bank puffing a pipe and calmly carry off a few thousand dollars while everyone in it screams and flees in hysteria at the thought of being around a smoker...

As a smoker, it amazes me how everyone think 'second hand smoke' is going to give them cancer.
You can't smoke a cig in the bars in NYC-yet the air smells like car exhaust . When I first went to NYC in the 80's I could SMELL the city before I even saw it! It gave me headaches for weeks.

No he won't-he's a movie star. Thats the only reason this story is in the news. I walk into places smoking a cig alla time-people get p**sed-I aint on the news. Its all Hollywood bulls**t. I don't give a f**k if Owen Wilson got kidnapped-f**ked in the ass and beheaded.

i'm a respectful  smoker, some of my friends have severe tobacco allergies. in return, they don't wear perfume or cologne around me due to MY severe allergies.
   and he DID cause an unnecessary evacuation, i'm sure there were plenty of people who thought there WAS a fire. NOT CHILL. it was a jerky thing to do.
   yeah, i'm not happy about " smoker discrimination" either. and i DON'T believe second hand smoke does s**t in the way of causing cancer. if it did, my husband would be dead by now.
  BUT, i do understand allergies. and respect. if it was up to me, any kind of perfume or scent would be banned in elevators, on busses, in subways,etc...
