I just got done watching Disney/Pixar's Coco and it was pretty good.
As always Pixar continues to one-up its previous films in terms of animation.
While Moana was a pretty average movie it did have astonishing visuals, and this tradition is carried on in Coco, which looks even better.
The movie's ascetic is inspired by the Spanish holiday "Día de Muertos" (Day of the Dead) and does an excellent job of bringing these holiday decorations to life.
There are also these strange creatures with a variety of different colors and designs as well as a massive and intricate city. So, yeah, unsurprisingly the visuals were amazing.

I can describe this as kind of a reverse Moana. Moana started strong and got weaker as it went on, culminating in a disappointing payoff.
Coco on the other hand starts weak and gets better near the end with it's more emotionally heavy moments.
The story is predictable at times but I am ashamed to admit there were some twists that actually caught me off guard.

But overall I'd only recommend this movie to people that like Disney/Pixar films or those who (Through an astronomically unlikely series of coincidences) have somehow never seen one.
For those of you that love Disney/Pixar, well... I'm probably wasting my breath, since you've likely already seen it. But whatever. It's on Netflix. If you've got an hour and a half to spare than go ahead and watch it.

Well, it did win the Oscar for Best Animated Feature at this year's Academy Awards. With its song Remember Me winning the Oscar as Best Original Song. Though, frankly, I prefer Un Poco Loco from the same film. Coco was the 9th time that Pixar took home the Oscar for Best Animated Feature. Disney is in 2nd with 3 wins. No other animation studio has won more than once.
