A year ago today I had my surgery.  It was just about this time last year that I was finally awake enough to let people know that I had survived.  I am so glad I had this surgery.

Congratulations. I am glad it has worked out for you and may you spend many more years bringing us cat and beer based humour.

Glad you had surgery you needed,  I hope it didn't bankrupt you.  Have there been negative side effects?

Thank you.  I was able to use my tax refund last year and flexible spending so I got through it OK financially.  And with the surgery I met my deductible for the year.

Time for a bit of Captain Overshare here...the biggest negative side effect was constipation where I felt like I was trying to pass a giant boulder through a cat flap.  I had a little bit of heartburn afterwards as well.  Otherwise there weren't any complications from the surgery.

Hell, I get the same problems without surgery.
