My uncle went to the big golf course in the sky yesterday after a battle with cancer.

He lives some distance away so as much as I would have wanted to I'm not able to go to the wake or funeral.

Going to miss him.  He was such a nice guy.

Sad news. I hope he left you many good memories.

That's a bummer.   :bluesad:
I know how it is. I hope he lived to a ripe old age.

How old was he?  Your Mom or Dad's brother?
I like the fact that you know he went to "the big golf course in the sky".  I dig it.

Thank you.

He would've been 74 this November.  This was my mom's eldest brother.

He was in to golf big time.  He used to live, breathe, and sleep golf.  At one point he had his own golf cart and was making his own clubs.  When he came up north to visit us that used to be on the itinerary for him and his brothers to go out and hit one of the local courses.  He'll probably be checking out all the courses upstairs before too long.
