I think this may be from 'force 10 from navarone' maybe.  A nazi half track with a nazi officer standing in the rear is driving into the dark and runs into a cable stretched across the roadway simply takes the nazi officer's head off.

I just love movies with nazis being killed in innovative  and amusing ways.
