I heard somewher that there was going to be a "Johnny The Homicidal Maniac" claymation movie made by the creator of "The nightmare before christmas" Berton??? Based off of the indie comic.   anyone else heard this

I haven't heard that, but chances are they were talking about Henry Selick-- who directed Nightmare, as well as James & The Giant Peach-- rather than Tim Burton-- who simply wrote the story and designed all the characters and sets.

I heard that tim was going to make charactures for it since they were verry similar to the ones in "nihtmare before christmas" the director i have no idea

I don't really think that Tim Burton would be right for a J:THM movie.  He's got a rather strong personality in movies, and it would warp the original too far from what it would otherwise be.

A claymation like NIGHTMARE would be interesting, but I'm curious if they could capture the kinetic hyper-violence of the comic.

Does anybody know the extent of Jhonen Vasquez's involvement with the "Invader Zim" series on Nickelodeon?  If it's pretty extensive, then a Henry Selick/Vasquez collaboration could be extremely interesting.

Yes Jhonen has ALOT to do with the Invader Zim cartoon
it's actually a collaberation (sp?) of Jhonen Vasquez and Roman Dirge (who write's the Lenore comic series)
