Midnight express: convicted felon and drug smuggler from america justly sentenced to prison in turkey murders guard and escapes justice. (The movie was utter bs, even the main character admitted it. And i'm being funny again.)

20 million miles to earth: Evil humans invade venus,  kidnap unborn child, take it to their alien world for research and experimentation, later murder it. (Actually no, not kidding, that is basically the plot.)

Event Horizon (1997) still gives me the willies. Space crew recovers a ship with an experimental jumpdrive that appears to have gone to Hell. IMO it's a must see for everyone who would come to a site like this. The ending is deliberately ambiguous but I believe that the Bad Guys won.

Scarecrows (1988) is a film about a band of military thieves who find themselves in a farm, deserted but for the scarecrows. There's a vaguely Lovecraftian element to this, as the farmers are portrayed as being black magic practitioners who live on as scarecrows, and they return to life to kill the intruders. This played during the good old days of early 90's Australian TV, when they would show crappy and not so crappy horror movies late at night.

Gone Girl (2014) is an exercise in duplicity and manipulation, and ends with the framed man being baby-trapped. Now that's a modern horror film.

NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD (1968) the hero boards off the house- after fighting zombies all night- and gets shot by some local with a rifle.

Yeh.  It's on my list page one.

That was the first film I ever saw advertised on the thing called the Interwebz  the first time I ever used the Net and it was described as a "warm, friendly, fuzzy film"  :buggedout: :buggedout:

Seriously it scared the crap out of me.  :buggedout:

The Package (1989)

The bad guy gets taken out at the end by another bad guy.  :buggedout:

We shall meet in the place where there is no darkness.

The same sort of thing happens in The Long Good Friday.

I am my own god
I require no shepherd
For I am no sheep.

Thinking about this thread, after my last post, I came up with some more, where the bad guys might win.

Gettysburg
Who's the villain in that? The North or the South?

Glory
No doubt as who are our heroes in that one, and they lost.

Though, we Americans are not the only ones to make films about our war times losses. While I have never seen these in their entirety, only clips, I know the Germans made films about . . .
Stalingrad. They lost.
Battle of Berlin. They lost.

"A bridge too far". The XXXXing nazis won.

Another case for who is the villain, and who is not is . . .
Zulu Dawn.
Where the Zulu Warriors defeated the whites at the battle of Isandlwana.

Surely the ones defending their homeland against an invader are the good guys.

In Halloween III the ending pretty much leads you to believe that the bad guy managed to achieve his plans, and all the kids turned into bug meat. That movie is awesome yet it got such a bad reputation just because its name. :(

Night gallery episode "Pamela's voice".  As someone who's suffered at the mouths of a few "Pamelas" I can tell you she was the bad guy in that episode. John Austin killed her in self defense.
