I dunno, a He-Man movie could be really interesting in today's political climate. He-Man will likely be played by a black transgender basketballer, Skeletor will be an old white man (because old white men are villains, in case no one got the memo) and Teela will be the actual lead. And she'll be a lesbian.

Thinking about it, the closest we've seen on screen to the He-Man universe is the Mortal Kombat TV series. Lots of action, men were macho, women were sexy, and no one was ashamed to ham it up. Shao Khan was a huge dude in a skull mask, looking like Skeletor is supposed to be.

Love the 80s live action if only because how terrible it is. If the new version doesn't end with a synth player saving the universe then I'm out!!

Oddly, I loved the cartoons as a kid, and was a fan of Dolph's action movies like The Punisher, Showdown in Little Tokyo et al. But I barely remember Masters Of The Universe. Should I watch it again??
