Remember them? Things you had before an internet?
Do you collect any mags?
I have lotsa monster mags from the 60's and 70's. I also got some FLYING SAUCER magazine issues from the late 50's-early '60's that are a trip. I got some LIFE magazines ( the Manson s**t, the King shooting, the Moon landing,Vietnam stuff-), Creepy and some Fangoria's. Lotsa Mad.
I usta have lotsa Psychotronic-but kinda took them to work, and they would get stolen. I been stocking up on Midnight Marquee, and had a sub to Cult Films and Psychotronic before they went belly up. I had a problem with Micheal Weldon. He ripped me off- twice!

Back in the 70's I bought anything that looked like this-whether the contents were good or not- and mostly not!

Supernatural?...perhaps. Baloney?...Perhaps not!" Bela Lugosi-the BLACK CAT (1934)

I still collect newspaper TV supplements if they've got a great cover or a TV show I'm interested in.  I've sold a lot but still have a lot.  I had a collection of CREEPY and EERIE magazines, maybe 30 or 40 issues each, unread condition, the above two are remnants of that collection at BIN on eBay (I have maybe 5 sentimental I'm keeping)   And yes, Ronnie, I have all them monster mags you had sent me... those I read!!!   :teddyr:

Cuz pix are on eBay, they're easy to get!  This is some stuff that I have but not my examples, another seller's pix on eBay:

I don't buy anymore, but I still have a large collection of LITBEAVER!!

I also have a lot of 50s-80s Movie and TV celebrity magazines, getting around to selling.  Monster mags are mostly gone.  :bluesad:

B'bye.   :teddyr:

As a child I collected quite a lot of magazines, although the only ones I still have are my old White Dwarfs and 2000 ADs alas.

This is one I think RC would have loved.

I am always on the lookout in comic shops for episodes of Axel Pressbutton.

Think this was my favourite White Dwarf cover ever.

I still have a couple of boxes of various rock/metal magazine back issues in my closet (Circus, Metal Edge, Metal Maniacs, various underground fanzines, etc.) - I call it my "research library" for when I write music articles for my blog, haha. :D

Unfortunately they're mostly from the mid 90s onward - I stupidly recycled almost all of my '80s ones when I moved out of my parents' house in 1997, because I didn't think I'd have the storage space for them in my apartment. I had years n' years of classic Circus, Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, Metal Forces, RIP, etc., etc. back then. Their loss is one of the many reasons I wish I could reach back in time and slap myself.

I feel that way about my record albums.  I had some stuff that I know people are looking for on vinyl.  Wanna go back and slap myself...

I used to read MAD, CRACKED, SICK, and FANGORIA (MAD was my favorite).

Many times when my mother took me shopping I'd go to the magazine rack and see the newest issue of MAD sitting there. If I had enough money, I would buy it. Otherwise, I would talk my mother into buying it.

I ended up selling all my magazines. Years later I purchased many of the issues I sold (and some issues I didn't own when I was younger) on eBay.

I have some Creepy's left, some Fangorias, and some odds and ends horror mags. I usta save my Metal Maniacs, but they're lost to time.
