same here, trev. it wasn't easy for a 5'1" 110 pound mid 20's female to start making my name as a cook, then a chef. but i did it while maintaining a marriage that's now into its 36th year. and although i'm semi retired now, i still have clients that will only work with me and my crew. nowdays, i don't do much of the serious physical stuff, but i EARNED that. THE best day of my career was when my first boss( as a real cook) asked me to cater his granddaughter's baby shower. we both cried and apologized to each other( we were HORRIBLE to each other over the years) and i was honored to cater, and attend the shower.
all those people who told me i'd never cut it, i wonder where they are, cuz MAMA's still here!
