I realize the title for this is Movies with Gorillas, but, I'd think I'd be remiss, if I did not mention this.

If any of us are in New York City this year and wish to take in a show, then one could do worst than seeing King Kong : Alive on Broadway, which is now playing on Broadway.

Actually, this is not the only Broadway show that has a film pedigree. Of the 37 Broadway shows now showing, some 30% have a film pedigree. And there are several good reasons for this.

1st Not all will be a hit, but their chance of being a hit increases, when they come with a built-in audience from the film.

2nd They extend the life of the film.

3rd It gives us who wanted to see it with an audience, but missed our chance.  A 2nd chance to see it with other audience members.

For example: the town east of where I live, each summer puts on something called Shakespeare in the Park. This time they are putting on Shakespeare in Love. Yes, that Shakespeare in Love. The film that was converted into a play, which originally played in London (U.K.)

Can Godzilla : the Musical with a tap dancing Godzilla be far behind?
