An axe place had recently opened in town.  My brother in law was in town so we decided to go do some axe throwing at the new place.

It was fun to go do that for an hour.  We just had a friendly competition for an hour.  I was bouncing them off the target at first until I figured out how to throw them.  Hit the bulls eye a couple times.  There's two basic ways to throw - one hand or two handed.  I went with two handed since that worked better for me.  It made for some pretty good exercise too.
God of making the characteristic which becomes dirty sends the hurricane.

If ever you're being charged by enemy infantry while holding a few axes, hurl the axes so they bounce along the ground at knee-level, Frankish style. Disrupts an enemy formation wonderfully to see axes bouncing along  toward their crotches.

That was the surprise tactic that won the battle that created modern France and it still works.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

I googled axe throwing here in Germany out of curiosity. It's described (some dating back to 2015, 2017) as an American Trendsport, Hipster-Trend or as Urban Axe Throwing. Not rivaling darts yet but there are a few pubs offering coached axe throwing and ...beer on Friday nights. None in my area though.

I know there's an axe throwing class around here.  I think it'd be fun for me and my friends to try one weekend.
At least, that's what Gary Busey told me...
