John, sincere question. You ever been tested for autism? I've long thought that about you, not the least of which when something can be plainly stated and it eludes you to the point you refer to it as obfuscated.
You would not want to know what I've "long thought" about you, except you debate like a bully.

Read some Chesterton sometime on the subject of the immutability of truth.
One doctrine of Church teaching clarified in the Counter Reformation is that a Pope's authority does not exceed Church doctrine, this was codified under Paul IV in the 16th century, and reiterated at the First Vatican Council in the 1870s. Should a Pope espouse heresy he loses office. (This is known as sedvacatism, or "empty chair".) I will not go as far as to say Francis has espoused heresy (many do) but I will say there are limits to the changes any Pope may bring about.
...And I do wish you'd quit saying something is "obfuscated" just because your mind won't comprehend it.

I assert "obfuscation" because that is exactly what you've done.  I am not going to assert my ability to learn and understand as you do, I have self confidence.  It is not necessary for me to reach for insults in a debate; one only does that with doubts.

Insult? So people with autism are....what are you saying about autism and those with it if you consider it insulting to think you might have it?

It's not that I don't respect your views on your hero, it's that it gets insulting to be told I am obfuscating when I am being as clear as I can be. It's just you that can't get things, John, and if you have some issue, I'm not going to kick you for it or make fun of you, but I reserve the right to wonder about whether you have the condition because many of your responses and takes on things over the years have left me with the view that you likely do fall somewhere on the autism scale, like Asperger maybe.

If you find this Pope worthy of imitation and he makes you a better person, great. Me, I think he needs to become Catholic one of these days.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.

No.  You are insulting to presume a diagnosis of a person you don't know from Adam.  Even if you were an MD.

Your first two assertions are examples of obfuscation.  This last is your reiteration of your insult to the Pope.  Insult, obfuscation.  Each your modus operandi.

ER,
You waded into this thread not with an example but a swipe at mine.  You choose not to be diplomatic, but combative.

Me sweetie Tiana. She's a RNA working at a nursing home.
ALL the health care workers everywhere.
It disgusts me to see stupid f**kers run around at the state capitol- with GUNS!- facing down health workers. It's sickening. They call other folks who don't follow their buddy Trump as 'snowflakes' and 'chicken littles', yet they seem to b***h and moan and cry if things don't go their way more than any other group. We're all in this together .

KEITH RICHARDS

I have a Bill Hicks dvd where he is joking about the fact that it's a miracle Keith Richards is somehow still alive - the show was filmed in 1989

a couple of years ago I watched a documentary about him, must've been a fairly recent one... although I'm not the biggest Stones fan he came across as a really genuine guy. obsessed with authentic old blues artists. you could tell he was real, not a phoney
