I love John Hughes, but some of these probably would've stunk. That Jaws 3 version could've been fun though. I'm about 99 percent sure it'd be better than what we got anyway :)

A poster was made for JAWS 3...

Haha, I wonder what Steven Spielberg thought of that poster. Seeing as how he's responsible for killing the project.

Also, it made me wonder what franchise's bad installments that just straight up parodied the franchise. The only ones I can think of is that one Hammer Frankenstein film that doesn't feature Peter Cushing. I guess if you count the Universal monster movies as one massive franchise you could also throw in the Abbott and Costello movies.

I suppose Wes Craven's NEW NIGHTMARE could be considered a semi parody.

I recently read "50 greatest Films never made" https://www.amazon.com/50-Greatest-Movies-Never-Made/dp/031220082X

it had a chapter on Jaws 3. the author had the script and said it was really good

I really wish someone would post the full list  :bouncegiggle: It strikes me as interesting thing to browse through or see as a listacle. But I don't imagine I'd ever feel compelled enough to track down the book.

I know, I just mean having it in my possession. I'd read a short article about it or be curious about the table of contents. But I have so much to read right now and only have a passing interest in that book.
