I just watched a BBC documentary about this infamous American. She went to Italy and has been accused/ convicted/ let go of killing her room mate after a disagreement over something.

Most of you, I'm sure, remember this case in some way or other. It was always in the tabloids.

Was she the victim of a backward Italian justice system that hated her because she was beautiful and American?

....

...

well... No, she seems pretty guilty actually. She first tried to pin it on her boss who was black but ultimately had an alibi, then she pinned it on another black guy. the DNA evidence got all messed up. Exactly what happened isn't clear, but If you are a fan of true crime stuff, you know SOMETHING is way off!

but who knows

the name sounds familiar but the case i can't remember

Ticonderoga 64

The tabloids called her by the nickname "Foxy Knoxy"...

She was cleared of all charges except "calmuny".

^ that was when she initially accused her boss, who had nothing to do with anything, of the murder. She claimed she was confused from being under duress, but she'd only been there like an hour and had volunteered to be interviewed. they had told her to go home

it was a story she came up with then abandoned, basically

Alex

I seem to recall that when she was first being interviewed for the murder, it came out that she'd offered to show the police her doing a handstand. A rather strange thing to do when your being interviewed about the murder of your house-mate.

That guy who narrates 'Cold Case Files' has a voice that can put me to sleep even when he's talking about serial killers.

Sounds right.  "Calmuny".  But she was cleared of all charges otherwise.

No, he's out. The Nevada Parole Board paroled him on July 20, 2017, and he was released on October 1, 2017, after he served almost 9 years for weapons and assault convictions. So far, as far as I know, he has managed to stay out of trouble since then.
