The internationally famous German actor - known for films like The Flight of The Phoenix, A Bridge Too Far and The Wild Geese - passed away at the age of 93.

I will always remember him as the mercenary Peter Coetzee in The Wild Geese: a man with racial issues who persists with these until he comes to realize that the person he is trying to save (but doesn't really like) could save Africa.
