One of America's greatest chroniclers of history has joined the silent majority at age 89.
I enjoyed every book of his that I ever read, and I read most of them.
"I shall smite you in the nostrils with a rod of iron, and wax your spleen with Efferdent!!"

Nooooo! I think he understood the eighteenth century American mind better than any other historian. I loved reading his books and watching him shake his ass at lectures.
What does not kill me makes me stranger.
