Did anyone see this circa 79/80 ? My downstairs av nerd neighbor had it on a film reel or something. 40 years later watching it again ,a lot of it came back to me, like him picking up the girl and when he jumps over the crowd leaves construction paper stars in his wake. very catchy tune as well

I actually saw the movie first.  I was just a little kid at the time but I remember not being impressed. 

I can appreciate it more now and that short is, quite simply, magical.

I heard that he basically used it as an audition tape to get a job at Disney.

I kind of like the movie's version of the song a bit more.  The audio is better.  But this is till cool for those who love old style sfx
