A question about books.

How many film-related books do you own? Currently, despite the large number of books I own, I only have 4 that are connected to the movie world. One is a coffee table book about Ray Harryhausen, and the others are a trio of biographies (Christopher Lee, Peter Cushing and Bruce Campbell). I'd assume most of the other people here will have more than that. I am not referring to novelisations of movies, or books that have been turned into movies, more ones about the background of films (like Trevor's upcoming book on the South African movie industry).

I have the Medved Tetralogy as well as Michael Weldon's Psychotronic Duology.

Oh dear.  I can see three shelves of them from my seat here at the computer.  At approximately 25 books per shelf, that's at least 75.  I know I have more hiding here and there that I have been meaning to ferret out and add to the shelving by the movies.  Assuming books of reviews and lists count?  Like the "Creature Features Movie Guide"?

Some of them may be TV-oriented.  One full shelf of Classic Trek.  Lots of Dr Who.  That sort of thing.

A lot (though not as many as Newt). Probably somewhere in the 20s.

Cinema 1 and Cinema 2 by Deleuze

I found Deleuze unreadable. Derrida is a model of clarity by comparison. I mean, yeah, I could have tried to process a paragraph a day, but the work to reward ratio makes it not worth it to me.

I am embarrassed to admit that I have ten books on films and filmmakers only 😳

There are two which I assisted on in research and things like that.
