I guess this movie sparked the new side of Keanu Reeves. The "like, duh! dude" phase, a phase that he still is in. There's a lot of cheesy dialogue that makes ya cringe. But also cool surfing with Swayze and gang. Look out for a cameo of Anthony Kiedis, lead singer from the Red Hot Chili Peppas!

Steven Millan

Anthony Kiedis' dad, Blackie Dammett,is also an actor, having played roles in "Nine Deaths Of The Ninja"(as the lead villain), "The American Nightmare",and "L.A. Bounty"(as the vehicle dude who gets a laser scope pointed in his face).
Yeah, that film also inspired Keanu to be a profitable action hero(after which,EVERY actor in Hollywood followed in the same path),and his now-famous "Whoa!!!" line(as uses in nearly all of his films, except "The Watcher" and "The Gift".).

Neville

Quite a good movie. Visually stunning, solid cript by James Cameron. Only flaw is that often it takes itself too seriously, specially with all regarding Swayze character and that ridiculous surfin' misticism.

J.R.

Blackie was also the guy that holds a gun to Mel Gibson's head toward the beginning of Lethal Weapon. The Chili Peppers also make a cameo in the "skateboarding" movie Thrashin'.

hmmm, a movie where a cop goes undercover into a youthful subculture and starts to forget that he's a cop while recapturing the joy of his youth and the main character discusses the rush of the activity and the cop takes it easy on the bad guy near the end.

whoops, thought this was a discussion thread on the fast and the furious...

just kiddin', point break's a good flick to laugh at, especially the naked chick that beats the crap out of Keanu at the house!
