Also hitting on Tuesday is (drum roll) the two Paul Naschy films WEREWOLF'S SHADOW (1971) and CURSE OF THE DEVIL (1973), complete and uncut! Finally, here is a legit release of two Naschy flicks in their original complete form. Am I excited? You bet.

Also coming out is PARASITE (1982) and ZOLTAN-HOUND OF DRACULA (1978), two Charles and Albert Band classics. And since Albert died recently, ZOLTAN-HOUND OF DRACULA will be the memorial feature of the night. And some hate PARASITE, but I love it for being just a fun flick like the way Charlie wanted it to be!

If you have an alternate DVD player--one you can set to Region 2--you can start nailing "Futurama" from Amazon.co.uk, and "Godzilla-Mothra-King Ghidorah: Daikaiju Soukougeki" from Amazon.co.jp (no sub or dub). "Futurama"--Season 2 coming soon--can be had for a reasonable price, averaging four bucks an episode, with lots of great features, and while "GMK" runs 10,000 Yen, it's a packed three-disc set. THE SWARM is one of my favorites, I LOVE that cast! I'm looking forward to THE SWARM DVD coming out this Tuesday.

Also, coming out this Tuesday are the Brentwood 10 Film DVD Sets, "Fright Night", and "Tales Of Terror". Some of the films on these DVD Sets are the Italian Horror films, WEB OF THE SPIDER, CIRCUS OF FEAR, and the David Hess sleaze classic THE HOUSE ON THE EDGE OF THE PARK!! The "Fright Night" DVD Set will have THE DEVIL'S NIGHTMARE, KILL BABY KILL, GOD TOLD ME TO, and SATAN'S SCHOOL FOR GIRLS!! I can't wait for these DVD Sets, and the good news is that they can be found for under $20 at most stores.

True.  Anyhoo, that too is great news.  By the way, my best friend knows the Naschman personally...six degrees of separation and all., I'm only a plane ticket away from shaking the living legend's hand.  whoa

Also, I flat out refuse to buy a DVD of Band's Parasite unless it's letterboxed (the movie was shot at the 2:35:1 aspect ratio).

Chadzilla, you are in luck. PARASITE is in it's original widescreen format of 2.35:1 (some sources say 2.00:1, but from what I hear they are both the same). The only extras are a theatrical trailer and a four-page booklet. Unfortunately, it's not in it's original 3-D format but oh well.

Yes, you may have been into Naschy before I was born. But it didn't take me long to be a Naschy fan for when I first saw WEREWOLF'S SHADOW and FRANKENSTEIN'S BLOODY TERROR, I knew this is the guy I would adore.
