Now, this has been one of my favorite movies for a while.  Certainly my favorite vampire movie.  (Behind FROM DUSK TIL DAWN of course.  Did NEAR DARK have a half-naked Salma Hayek?)  But I was certainly surprised to see that the recent DVD release was a double DVD.

I haven't had any quality time to spend with the DVD, but I just thought I'd share what's on it.

On the first disc is a widescreen version with an audio commentary by Kathryn Bigelow.

The second disc has a 47-minute feature on the movie.  There's also deleted scenes, theatrical trailers, storyboards, picture galleries and the original screenplay.

Also, the packaging is pretty sweet.  ("Let's just say I fought for the South. . . we lost.")

Not too shabby for a not too expensive DVD.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.
