Althought Mr. Quaid doesn't appear too happy to be there, the movie is actually better than one might expect.  It's about a little boy's revenge against the people who murdered his mother for being different.  Or it could be a movie about an alien returning to earth to avenge his human bride.  The movie lets you choose.

The acting is good and very refreshing in that the actors are all *adults*.  This is not a movie about annoying teens getting picked off one-by-one, the principals are all well over 30.  Everyone conveys a good sense of dread and guilt.  Randy Quaid is a bit stiff; like I said, he doesn't look too happy to be there but he puts just enough effort into it that I won't hold it against him.

Give this movie a try, I'm sure you'll be happy with it.
