I loved this Herschell Gordon Lewis movie.  Two of my favorite parts were
1. They take a kid out of his baby carriage, put him in a trash can, then smash the carriage.
2. They light some newspaper on fire of this women's house, ring the doorbell and tell her there's a fire.  When she comes out they spray her with a hose and leave the little fire.  It makes no sense.

Lots of wilding with the troubled teens

This is one of the GREATEST movies of ALL TIME! It's also one of HG Lewis' favorite films and fondly remembered.
I have the movie poster & pressbook. Its out on DVD by Something Weird.

The opening of the movie is the greatest. It's a party in full effect. People are dancing, laughing, freaking out....then a fishbowl gets emptied on Lummox, the gang misfit! He then takes the bowl and throws it against a mirror, then all of a sudden the room ERUPTS in violence! Everyone starts ripping up the furniture, smashing everything in site. There are hatchets, knives and all sorts of chaos going on.
Then come the credits....

It's amazing that no one got hurt with all the stuff going on!

They don't make them like this anymore!

I intend to see all of his movies.  I 've just seen moonshine mountain.  really great energy

ahhh, Moonshine Mountain... another great favorite. I can watch this one over and over and over. I also have two movie posters for this one.

I like the title song for JUST FOR THE HELL OF IT!  "Destruction!"

I have THIS STUFF'LL KILL YA! but it's a little slow.  Still, if you like the Mayor Buckman character from 2000 MANIACS you should like this because the same actor is the star.

I saw that one.  I love Something Wierd movies that ae rambling like that.  one thing,  one guy who worked with him on 200 maniacs went on to make what I would consider the worst movie ever "She-Freak"  definately the worst soundtrack and most f**king random ass footage!!!  There is I guess an album of alot of the music available under hglewis's name i read about at pitchforkmedia.com a while back

jmc

I'd get that just to get the music from 2000 MANIACS!  That's some mighty fine bluegrass there....

One thing I always wondered about that movie...if the town was really supposed to be from 100 years before, how come people had cars and telephones?

I've just recently seen the psychic and blast off girls.  Despite an annoying lack of nudity, blast off girls features a cameo by *Col. Saunders!!!!  If you live in some part of the world that doesn't have KFC it should STILL mean alot to you FOR NO REASON.   Both were great.  It's funny because one of the themes of blast off girls is that a mediocre band can make it with the right promotion and they really are quite mediocre.  They have one song and it's totally stupid and dumb.

*the real col. saunders!!!! no s**t!!!

K-Sonic

I'd love to see The Psychic. The trailer is pure exploitation and all I've seen.

Blast Off Girls is on a double feature dvd with Just For The Hell Of It.

Other HG Lewis favs are Suburban Roulette, B-O-I-N-N-G!, & Living Venus.
