I saw in the "Guilty Pleasures" post that this film was mentioned.  This is a spectacular B-movie!  I own it!  I love it!  I think it should be reviewed by someone for this site.  If there ever was an early 80's b-movie that is in dire need of bashing on here this movie should be it!  Andrew, take note.  If you don't feel like reviewing it then I shall step forward and do it for you...permission granted of course.  Whenever I see Stephen Furst I always imagine him stuffing marshmellows in his mouth.  "Are you sure you don't have anything in there Harold?"
Harold playing Pong with an Atari joystick is also a kick especially when he yawns and tosses it aside to solve the next clue.  They should have the guy who played Leon on VH'1's "Where are they now?"
LOOK BETWEEN THE TWO GIANT MELONS!

    HUG ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I'VE GOT PABST BLUE RIBON ON MY MIND"!!!  Man would I love to take a dive in a vat of beer like that!

That was my guilty pleasure.  I'd give anything to find it in a video store somewhere.  Somebody said there is even a DVD of MM -- so I'll have to hunt for that.  The nerds on the mopeds cracked me up so bad.  Please do review it -- I'd love to see your take on it.

Please feel free.  I have never seen it myself, but am interested by even the glowing gloss-over here.

It was also Michael J. Fox's film debut...but I don't hold that against it.

"Faga beefy?"

BTW, Anchor Bay released the DVD.  I got my copy at Best Buy, very cheap....

Actually, I think MJF's film debut was as a punk kid in a movie starring John Ritter as a San Diego Padre who gets cut from the team and takes a job coaching underpriveleged kids.  MJ Fox is one of the toughest and hardest of the kids to win over.  In the end the Padres ask to get this guy back even though he hasn't been playing in the minors or anything (I guess the Padres really are that bad?) and he is torn between getting back into the pros and not letting the kids who have come to believe in him down.  It was a real tear-jerking piece of crap.  Possible that MM came out first, but he looked younger in this one.

Count me in as another Midnight Madness fan.

If there's a Best Buy near you then it can easily be picked up for a cheap price....that's where I got mine.

Dano, do you know the name of the movie that stars Michael J. Fox and John Ritter?
It sounds like "Class of 1984" from 1982 w/ Perry King, Timothy Van Patten, and Roddy McDowell, but it doesn't star John Ritter. Actually, I can't find any movie that has both Fox and Ritter in it.
Actually, "Midnight Madness" from 1980 was Michael J. Fox's motion picture debut.
It was also the debut of David Naughton, who would also appear the next year in "American Werewolf in London."
"Midnight Madness" is a Disney production, distributed by Buena Vista.
And I have the paperback novelization of the screenplay.
