Bad Japanese Star Wars rip off.

I saw a heinous Japanese sci-fi movie one night around 3am on tv.
It definitely was a Star Wars rip off, and the most memorable thing about it was that the stormtroopers had yellow wigs that were part of their helmets.
It had a Princess Leia like character and a little boy was central to the plot.
 
It was wonderfully godawful
Perhaps it was just a bad dream.
 
I'd love to show it to my trash loving friends.

What jumps to mind here is not a Japanese rip-off, but "War of the Robots."  Imagine "Star Wars," but, instead of stormtroopers, you have an army of little Dutch men.  Blonde hair and all.

I will sleep on this, maybe other answers will come to me.
