I dont think AH-X was trying to show just random skinhead story, I think it was a lot deeper, going into society and how racism is passed down in family. In any event it was superbly acted.

AH-X was good, but a little too tame for me.  It tried to show the gritty reality of  racism and the skinhead subculture and succeded only to a certain point in my opinion.
I like my films to be even grittier.  I like 'em as hardcore as it gets.  I want to be thinking to myself after it's over, "Damn!  That's real life.  It doesn't get any worse than that."  It seems to me that if the producers really wanted to, they could've gone a lot further with AH-X.
Even though it has "HOLLYWOOD" written all over it I'd still recommend it.  Not bad,    for what it is.

In "Mission to Mars" -- one of the most boring movies I have ever sat all the way through -- there's a pretty disturbing scene where Tim Robbins deliberately removes his helmet while floating in space.  It was disturbing because his head instantly froze and got distorted looking (I don't know how realistic that is but it was creepy).  It was also disturbing because of why he did it: his wife was trying to save him before he got sucked into Mars' atmosphere.  Her jet pack was almost out of fuel and her harpoon cord couldn't quite reach Tim Robbins.  To prevent her from risking her life to save him, he killed himself.  What bugged me about it is that with a little ingenuity, she could have reached him and got back because there was a third astronaut with a jet pack who could have helped.

"The dead zone", the killer who is finally cornered in his own bathroom does a pretty bold suicide involving a pair of scissors.

>>Finally, I love Arnold's suicide in Terminator 2, it is so touching and so sweet, I think it is a "nice" suicide if there are nice suicides.<<

I'm fond of the "last of the mohicans" scene myself with the girl jumping off the cliff for love. awww ;-)
