Another reason why MTV sucks

MTV held a screening of The Two Towers for their show Movie House. During the last twenty-five minutes, which is the epic climax, the battle of Helm's Deep, a cameraman and the ass-head host came in to ask people's opinions of the film, while they're watching it! The camera's light shone on the screen and made things hard to see, and the host's head cast a shadow on it as well. If you've got to do that at least refrain during the huge action sequence.

Yep,that sounds like typical MTV,all right!
At least they didn't tamper with the film, and have scenes of numerous NSync,Britney, and Enimen videos pop up through that epic battle sequence.

So what else is new about MTV besides only reason I like mtv myself was looking at Daisy Fuentes and Bevies and Butthead. Heh Heh Heh Daisy is cool.

So since Mtv part 1 is about mostly pop and a lot of specials and Mtv 2 will show old and new music and never before seen artist and Mtv the internet is about wherever what to know and you get to pick on what you see either way is still boring. When I was watching TRL with Emimne sorry! spelling not good. So anyway he came in the studio and because of so so many fan base for him that punk carson daily close the curtian on the windows so the fans can't see Emimne. Carson think he made mtv better Hell No.Just me speaking anyway but TRL is also about seeing the celebrity outside the windows also. I usually eat lunch at 3 but I change it to 2 instead and I pass by the mtv building and damn it was so croweded for that guy Emimne. That is more fans then Jay-z and Beyonce.

Dano

...but thanks for the update.  My TV hasn't been turned to MTV in 8 years and it's nice to know that I'm still not missing anything.

I used to post at a messageboard called antimtv. I never watch MTV anymore. I even made a site called mtvhell.com. Mtv was decent when they had beavis & butthead and music videos, then it sucked after that.

>MTV held a screening of The Two Towers for their show Movie House.

I realize this is probably a stupid question, but are you saying that MTV aired the entire movie,The Two Towers, on TV?

J.R.

No. They held a sneak preview in a movie theater, and shoved a camera in people's faces for their show.

Ok, that's what I originally thought, but Steven's comment about them not putting popups on it made it sound like they aired it on TV.

Squishy

Yeah, I haven't watched a second of MTV since they ditched their animation programs like "B&B," "Liquid TV," and "Cartoon Sushi." (Remember "The Maxx" and "The Head" from "MTV's Oddities?") What's next? They're making a Spider-Man cartoon in the current "WB" style. ...Sellouts.

StatCat

The only thing I really miss that was on MTV was sifl and olly I have them all on tape anyway but who wouldn't want to see new episodes of that show.

Megafury

anybody remember Undergrads? that show was cancelled from MTV in a month, the one episode I saw was pretty funny

Squishy

"Undergrads" is rerun on Comedy Central now, after midnight Sundays, along with "The Critic," "Duckman," and...well, UPN's "Gary & Mike." Can't all be winners, can they?

JohnL

>Remember "The Maxx"

I taped them all and was hoping for a second season.

J.R.

Sure, it sucks that MTV stopped showing videos, but around 1997 they were showing some fun stuff like Sifl And Olie, The Maxx, Aeon Flux, the first few seasons of Daria and Beavis & Butthead. If they had stayed that way, a home for edgy animation and experimental shows, that would have been great. Now they're pretending to be about music again, showing how hopelessly uncool they are.

Really, Really White Guy: "Yo, yo, yo, I'm kickin' it with the dopest hardcore punk rocker on the scene, Avril Lavigne."

"Back monster!   Maxx would not slay you, but would rather be your tiny friend..."

Working off of memory, so forgive me if I did not get it quite right.

I also remember a great "Random act of violent against an Isz" in the series.
