Are these films all straight to Video(DVD)?

Dead Man
Ravanous
Beowolf

If they are then they are all good ones. Can anyone think of any others?

DEAD MAN had a very limited theatrical release.  If you live in a large town with a good arthouse theater you might have seen it.  Think New York City, Los Angeles or San Francisco.  Other than that you were out of luck.  Damn shame, DEAD MAN is one of my favorite movies.  If you look hard you can see my review on Amazon.  It's the one titled "Hilarious!".  Another movie I bought the soundtrack to.

RAVENOUS had a rather large theatrical release.  Don't know why.  I can't imagine it appealed to mass audiences in any way whatsoever.  I like it a lot.  I'm also this close to buying the soundtrack, but I don't want to spend the money.

BEOWULF, if it's the Chris Lambert version, I'm pretty sure went straight to video.
Every dead body that is not exterminated becomes one of them. It gets up and kills. The people it kills, get up and kill.

It had a European theatrical release, I believe, and then went direct to video in the US a year or more later.

How about THE SPECIALS? It's a (I believe) straight-to-video superhero comedy written by Tromeo & Juliet screenwriter James Gunn (before he sold out and did Scooby-Doo). I saw it on the Sci-Fi Channel a while ago; not perfect, but a lot of fun, with a few hilarious moments (the action figure ad was definitely the highlight). It's sorta like Mystery Men, only it doesn't even try to be an actual superhero movie; the focus is on the characters, and we don't even see their super powers until the last 30 seconds. Like I said, it's not perfect, and a good chunk of the jokes don't work, but it's not a bad way to spend an afternoon. Plus, it's got a sizable role from Sean "Sammy Capulet" Gunn (in addition to Rob Lowe and Jamie Kennedy).

Was THE DARK BACKWARD straight to video?
