I am sorry Iressivor, but most of these bands are AWFUL. First, Alanis sounds like a goat. Secondly, they promote just as much hate against men (Pink, Avril, Alanis) as most metal bands do against anyone (in my opinion more so). Plus, too many of them whine not sing (like Creed and the Calling). I can whine perfectly well myself. Second, some are total hypocrites (Dave and Avril). Dave is all right, but I hate him for saying that he is innovative and amazing. That is not so. His music is by no means complex and he can't sing in just one register. Avril, doesnt even write her own songs, nor does she play guitar in more than one song. If you are looking for a good pop/rock combo, go with Michelle Branch. She is talented. Hey I like Britney Spears' music, but she doesnt claim to be a great musician.

linkin Park and Bryan Adams are both fine (especially Linkin Park.... now they are innovative.)

Plus, the best punk band by far is Green Day.
