Boot camp type of film?????????

I trying to remember the name of this movie from the late 60's or early 70's. Its a basic training film (not THE D.I. starring Webb) that has a guy going thru basic training and the D.I. dosn't like him. He excels in different endurance type routines with a smiling meditative look on his face while the D.I. is trying to break him. Its a drama(not a comedy). One scene the when the platoon has to hold buckets of water with outstretched arms and the person in question is just smiling thru it as he goes into a trance state. Does anyone know the title of this film? Andrew? Its a good movie and I remember seeing it on tv twice during the 70's.

I think you might be remembering "Tribes" - a made for TV movie about a fellow going through boot and using yoga.

Well, I never would have guessed it was made for tv, but I believe that is probably the one. I think he did use yoga. I just remember a few scenes like the buckets and the haircuts, I was quite young (8-10). It made a lasting impression.
