Rape, revenge, in various shades of red.  I rented this after seeing it discussed by no less than Ebert and Siskel about a dozen years ago.  Found it rather well done and certainly deterred any latent desire to ingratiate myself on any woman anywhere anytime.  I also could not take a bath with my then girlfriend anymore.

I still have not seen this one yet!

I guess it was just one of those that slipped through the cracks.

Someday though!

I've seen the horrible, HORRIBLE Brain Damage rip-off of this movie, Grave Vengeance, but haven't been able to find I Spit On Your Grave ANYWHERE.

And as the world began crumbling down
Nobody around seemed to care

Wow, I feel bad for you Andrew.  Here in Indiana, I swear it is at like every video store.  I love this movie.  I think the thing I like most is how the woman gets revenge.  She doesn't wait for some man to come help and save her, she f**ks up her attackers all on her own.

Politics is showbusiness for ugly people

I rented this one several years ago.  I agree it's a good film of its type.

I recently saw it in Suncoast Motion Picture Co in a Director's cut version.  I just couldn't bring myself to buy it when my testicles started drawing up into my body cavity.

I'll probably get up the nerve and add it to my collection.

Wasn't this the one that Siskel and Ebert got removed from video stores several years ago?? Claiming the rape scenes were too protracted and brutal?

I think that, however much anyone is afraid to have this horrid thing in their collections, everyone (myself included) is going to go out and buy the Elite Millenium Edition because the Patron Saint of B-movie Wisdom himself, Joe Bob Briggs, is doing the commentary.

The Joe Bob Briggs commentary on the new Elite DVD is awesome. Everyone should hear it.
