The Fly II and other trash

Holy Crimmeny!!!! What ever happened to REAL Sci Fi?
It was bad enough that they even MADE "The Fly II" but did they have to include footage of Jeff (worst actor of all time) Goldblum??? I mean give me a F***ing break!!!
 And what about that horrific abortion named "Battlefield Earth"? I can't even begin to tell you the anxiety attack that this peice of scenimatic tripe caused.
I'll stick with Sci-Fi from the 30's to 50's. at least they were "bad" for a reason.

If "Battlefield Earth" had been an abortion we would not have been subjected to it. Sadly it actually came to term. The first true monster movie where the movie itself is truly the monster unleashed upon the earth by mad men.

I agree that Battlefield Earth is amazingly hard to sit through. It is very boring to say the least.

Fly 2 on the other hand I found rather fun and a good sense of creating the atmosphere that Fly had. Not as close to the style of Cronenberg but still a Hell of a lot of fun. I did have a problem with the slow pace though.

FLY II is excellent, maybe even better than the original re-make or the Price flicks themselves.

It's been awhile that I've seen both The Fly and The Fly II so I can't judge them again.  But, good doctor, if you think those movies (in your opinion) were bad, might I suggest two movies that will literally make you want to shoot yourself in the head.  Mortal Kombat: Abomination,  and the death of the Batman franchise: Batman and Robin.

I like The Fly II better then the frist one, because it stop trying to be an "let see how gross, freaky sex-filled we can make this film" type of thing Corenberg always does. The Fly II cut that crap and just went for the whole mindless chaos slasher film type feel. Great fun.....

BUT NOT BETTER THEN THE PRICE FILMS!
