I really wonder if these comicbook characters are known outside of Europe... I have heard there exist translations to many languages, so here it goes.

After years and years of failed attempts, a live action movie has been made reflecting the insane adventures of this down-and-out secret agents who work for a spionage agency called T.I.A. (=Aunt in spanish). The firsts trailers look quite good, and the comicbook kicks ass, so I guess it is a good idea to let you know about it.

Check this link: www.mortadeloyfilemon.com . It is the official webpage for both the comicbook and for the yet to be released movie. If you click on the top menu section named "La tira de la semana" you'll see a short excerp from the comic, and on "La pelicula", you'll have access to the teaser trailers. Tell me what did you think of it...
Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.

Count me in for a ticket :-)
I'm a long time fan and always had hoped for a live action film (the cartoon plain and simply sucked big time) - and since its a spanish production, one can assume that it remains faithful to the comic (the excerpt on the website looks promising - at first I was a bit shocked 'bout the guy that plays Jeff Smart, but I think I can get used to him. Fred Clever seems just to be the right guy).

cheers
