Equinox... Should this movie the remade???

I love this movie and for some odd reasion I think this movie should be remade and maybe add some justice to the orginal... Any ideas... :D

Let's see -- the Devil is a Park Ranger.  One of his minions is a giant blue caveman.  Herb Tarlek is one of our heroes.

What remake could compete with -- or top -- that?

The basic concept of EQUINOX (this has been brought up in a thread further down, I think) has been essentially used in both BLAIR WITCH PROJECT and the first EVIL DEAD.

Sure not much can top that, I would like to see a part 2 to this movie or even a remake, with better special effects... Maybe this time the we get to the castle and fight more demons... :D

The story does has many "key" elements that seems to be used in "Evil Dead"
= Demonic Book
= A portal from the demon world was open by a professor who read the book
= Teenagers try to make sense of this from reading the book
= Characters possed
= A symbol keeps the possed character at bay (Evil Dead 2)

But, both stories are very different...

Saying that BLAIR WITCH PROJECT is similar to EQUINOX is like saying that THE OMEN is similar to FRIDAY THE 13TH... (I remember hearing this from American Movie Classic and I think that was a load of crap... )

BLAIR WITCH PROJECT was design as a tour thru a hunted forest, and using cam cramars to record their activity... where you can justify the crapy photograpy and shaky views, which leaves the story open as the teenagers were jumpy because of "Bad Pot" or they ran into a Serial Killer that was stalking them... you never know... Still a great movie and better then BLAIR WITCH PROJECT 2.

This is one movie that I think could benefit from a remake.  I'd go see it.

I have too much of a soft spot for the original to really go for a remake. It's just so damn goofy!
