this flick gave me a splitting headache and a mysterious touch of car-sickness...apparently (according to IMDB) there are two sequels as well...i pray to god it's not true...

Prison Planet - 1992 (R). (VHS). Written and directed by Armand Gazarian. Tagline: "'Mad Max' meets 'American Gladiators' in the ultimate road war!" (But not really.) Starring James Phillips as Blaine, the futuristic freedom fighter. Blaine purposely gets himself banished to Prison Planet in order to find kind former king Himshaw. Blaine plans to hijack a slave ship and transport Himshaw to planet Anakin where he was overthrown by evil king Akira. Your basic low-budget Mad Max-style rip-off where people are captured, then escape, and are caught again before they...well...escape again. Besides a hand dismemberment and a cool bow-and-arrow kill, the whole flick is pretty much unremarkable. Check out the "town" of Cypress. It consists of one tent and a bunch of towels tied to sticks. NOT RECOMMENDED.
