Okay. I broke down and bought the 3-D horror 3 pack on DVD (complete with Imax style 3-D glasses and a polarization converter box to connect to the television).

The first DVD I watched was CAMP BLOOD (which has a 3-D version on one side and a 2-D version on the other).

Here's the scoop: The 3-D effects actually work and don't cause headaches (unless you can't get used to the flickering of the left/right shutters that causes the 3-D effects).

The movie is from 1999 and was shot on video (so you should already know what to expect). It's about 2 couples who go camping and end up getting stalked by a killer in a clown mask. Since there are only about 12 people in the entire movie (including flashbacks), and some of them get killed early on, it isn't too hard to figure out who the killer is. The movie is basically a rip-off of Friday the 13th.

There are a lot of irritating "in your face" shots of grass, branches, weeds, etc., but there are also some good uses of 3-D.

Dumb scenes include a fight between the killer and one of the campers. They are fighting among rocks in a stream. The highway is clearly visible in the background, yet the idiot campers can't seem to find their way out of the woods.

Another dumb scene shows the killer (blinded) chasing one of the women. The killer can't see, is stumbling and weaving back and forth, and flailing a machete. Yet the running girl can barely stay out of the killer's reach.

For additional stupidity, the killer gets run over by a Sportage TWICE, yet doesn't seem to be particularly hurt by it.

And the ending is one of those dreamlike, "is this really happening" scenes that is supposed to be shocking, but is really just dumb.

There are 2 more DVD's in the set (I can't wait to watch them), plus I got another set of 3 that are more "mainstream" movies that were originally shown in Imax theaters.

I bought both sets online for $99 each. They each include 3 DVDs, 2 pairs of glasses, and the 3-D converter box and connectors.

Buy at your own risk!!!!!

Well, gee, I'd say it's a blatant rip-off of F13 (since you love those initials for movie) since the title is Camp Blood.
