I really though Antena 3, one of the free spanish TV stations, couldn't get any lower. I mean, they are famous here for their quite, let's say, "creative" ways of depicting the everyday events on their news, or for dumpìng good series after a few episodes, or for lots of TV crap. But now they've gone too far.

Apparently, what they do is innocent enough: The channel offers two different movies for the saturday night and the audience picks the one they prefer via SMS. That is, sending a message through your cellphone, which uses to cost about $1 here. Not very ethical, but transparent enough.

But after a couple of weeks, their strategy is starting to show up. Every week they offer a crappy film and a quite good one. This week, for instance, the pick is between "Casino" and a sugary drama starring Susan Sarandon and Natalie Portman. In other words, we are being bad movie blackmailed! LOL! It is almost if they were saying: "If you not pay us enough money by the weekend, we will show you the bad movie instead of this one we were going to pass anyway". I know, I know, I am assuming the voting process is not transparent (believe, it has been openly criticised before), and also stretching quite a lot of things, but I truly hate that channel, and the idea of all this seemed cooked by Dr. Evil himself.

About me, I am not watching "Casino" with an hour of advertising (looks like the good guys are winning for now), I think I'd better go to the cinema. Seen "The Eye" was showing somewhere near my neighbourhood...

Due to the horrifying nature of this film, no one will be admitted to the theatre.
