"Me and my writing partner Sabastien Bazile have finished a script and we're developing [it into what] I hope will be the sequel to The Last Dragon. It's called "The Dragon Awakes"."-Taimak

check out that pic of Bruce Leroy doing that mid-air kick, man is he ripped now or what?

Andrew

I do not know if this is a good thing.  The original was all about Bruce Leroy learning that he has learned all that a teacher can teach, he is a master.  It falls into the same reservations that I have about "The Matrix 2."

Making this into a film would only make my old scholl,Arizona-based buddy Debbie Grandy happy with sheer joy, since she's been heavily infatuated with Taimak with absolute glee.
I'm sure that Taimak(who now uses his real full name nowadays)would be really happy to do it,since his careere is slowly making a sort of comeback, with some upcoming films within the later half of this year.
It'll also be interesting to see how Leroy's brother handles all of the dangerous situations, comically berates Leroy, and how they'll handle their situations without(the now-retired,for religious purposes)Vanity by their side(maybe they can replace her with Beyonce Knwoles or Carmen Electra).

Lee

GAAAAHHHHH!!!! Please, not Beyonce Knowles!!!! Has she not tortured people enough?!!

Deadance

Oh please I hope you guys  do it I always wanted to see a Sequel to that  and bring Erine Reyes Jr too ok.

Good luck.

Zombie post!  Back from the dead!

Sorry, I need to get some sleep.  I am still interested in this movie.  It has popped up from time to time on this and other boards I read.

Personally, I've been waiting for them to put into effect the glow concept in other Martial Arts flix and series but to no avail.  I think this would probably be the only saving factor to any sequals to come and I woud defanitly pay to go watch people duke it out ala "Mortal Kombat" with kicked music score and people aquiring the glow. If not him maybe all his students can aquire it and have a fight scene like in "Dune" when Muadib teaches the calls to his pears and drinks the water of life.

So if zombies eat brains, what do zombie posts eat?

Dolph Lundgren

If done right, this would certainly kick all kinds of ass.  I agree with bringing back Ernie Reyes, Jr.  However, if done wrong..

Although I'm sure that Taimak is extremely dedicated to making this film, which might show if it's ever made.  Until I hear more news, I'll only be moderately excited.

Who the Heck is Ernie Reyes?

Dolph Lundgren

Ernie Reyes Jr. was Tai in the movie, the little filipino kid that kicked all sorts of ass towards the end of the movie.  He was one of the good guys.  Went on to make such classics as Surf Ninjas, and was Keno the pizza delivery kid in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II.  Pretty much has faded into obscurity since, although IMDB says he was in Rush Hour 2, which I can't remember.  He's supposedly in an upcoming movie with the wrestler the Rock, Stifler from American Pie, and Christopher Walken (!), with an Ahnuld cameo (!!).  That's all I know about him.

In the vfutue,I´m plaaning to do a typical HK action movie called"Thrilling Action"starring Jackie Chan and one of the Bruce Lee doubles from"The Clones Of Bruce Lee".

I´m wishing to work with either John Woo or James Cameron on this one.

Something I've always wondered;

Who is Taimak? I mean, I'd never heard of him before seeing The Last Dragon, but everyone talked about him, like people were supposed to know who he was.
