FRIGHT NIGHT (1967) - This is bad movie making, but it had enough to get me to finish it. It's directed by James Sullivan who has been involved with some rather well know bad films and it stars someone named John Agar who plays a sheriff.  What I noticed most that kept me watching was a photo-journalist character that looked just like Johnny from NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD fame, but I can't verify it. Johnny was the one who said "Barbara he's coming to get you." or something like that. The film has a stupid story of an alien creature that is the result of a messed up NASA experiment. The film never actually shows anything till the end and it turns out to be a  ridiculous big ape alien man with a ridged kranium and two horns. One of the funniest scenes is the death of one of the sheriffs as he calls for help on his car radio. There is also this wacky late night teen dance by a lake. Well I'll never be watching this one again. It's brutal to watch but keeps you hoping maybe something will happen. Good luck watching this one. This is "bad" but not completely boring.

THEY CAME FROM BEYOND SPACE (1967) - Well, I was hoping for somthing at least entertaining with the British B- atmosphere and accents, but it was boring. The title also gave me hope. The ray gun was the worst and after firing it they edited in a swirling whirlpool effect with out any image. Anyway aliens invade the earth through rocks from the sky like in DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS and when someone gets near the rocks the alien spirit possesses the human and takes it's body. In the end the lead character who has a metal plate in his head and is unaffected by the rocks saves the day with the help of acouple others. One of the funny parts is that they make a helmet for the friend that looks like a speghetti strainer. I gave you the spoiler one this one hoping that you don't waste your time purchasing it because it certainly won't be played on tv anytime in our lifetime. I could be wrong though.

As I can recall, FRIGHT NIGHT was an uncredited remake of a 1964 sci-fi film called THE DEMON FROM DEVIL'S LAKE, which was about a U.S. launched space ship crashing in a lake in Texas. Due to the radiation that leaks from the ship, it mutates the caged animals in the ship into one monsterous creature.

The film is sadly lost, though a 35mm print might show up in the near future.
