CIMARRON (1930) - This is a great classic that starts out with the Oklahoma land rush of 1989. Coverered wagons and a big slice of American history. This film is excellent stuff for an early film. It was filmed only 41 years after the event. Again another film alot like GIANT that covers the space of a families life.

GIANT seems to take alittle from both CIMARRON and GUNMANS WALK. CIMARRON also won best picture in 1930. A nice piece of American History and Film History.

Never seen the original, but did see the remake, from the early '60's, with Glenn Ford. Best scene from the remake: the Oklahoma Land Rush. (IMHO) one of the greatest action scenes ever made for a western. Check it out.
