My Double Feature of the Day

Well, I thought this would make for a neat double feature, so I caught both of them today.

FREDDY vs JASON - Enjoyed this film. It was entertaining. I never watch NIGHTMARE ON ELM STEET movies, but I enjoyed the character of Freddy in this film. You get to return to Elm Street and Crystal Lake with good background on both characters and a great ending. I liked JASON X and I thought FREDDY vs JASON edged it out by a bit.

HOUSE OF 1000 CORPSES - This movie stunk. The only thing that saved it was the disturbing insanity of it all. Otherwise the characters were just dumb. The clown guy was the dumbest. Especially on the extra's on the DVD. If you watch the behind the scenes part you'll see Rob Zombie looking anxious as he should of been while shooting this stuff.  I had high hopes for this film. My hopes were lowered by other peoples thoughts on it and after viewing it they sank even lower. Now to try and give this film some credit (if possible). The family reminded my of the family in TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE. I have actually known people who act like the characters in this movie and I know that people like this are capable of such acts if they could get away with it. Usually they act alone not in groups. If Rob Zombie actually directed this film then he might want to try another film using this film to get his feet wet.
